What insurances do you accept?

We are proud to accept a wide range of major insurances. No matter what type of insurance you have, our insurance experts will take time to help you understand your plan benefits. Please note that coverage may vary for outpatient care centers and for a convalescent home stay, so we will verify benefits specific to Copper Ridge Care Center and any related outpatient care centers if needed.

Do you offer short-term rehabilitation?

Yes. At Copper Ridge, your successful recovery and quick return home is our top priority. We provide a unique personalized experience whether you’re suffering from an illness or recovering from a major medical event. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy is conducted under the guidance of licensed experts and is available seven days a week. Many residents transition to or from outpatient care centers as part of a comprehensive rehab plan.

What is your visitor policy?

At Copper Ridge, we believe that family and friends play a critical role in our residents’ emotional and physical well-being and welcome visitors at our facility.

When will the doctor see me?

Doctors typically visit within 24 hours of admission. Your nurse will communicate any medical concerns with your doctor before and after they see you. This is part of our standard nursing home admission process.

How often will I have therapy?

Most patients, depending on their condition and when they are admitted, will start rehab within 24 hours of admission and will receive therapy up to five times per week. Therapy may continue at outpatient care centers after discharge from Copper Ridge Care Center to support a smooth transition from a convalescent home setting back to daily life.

How long is a typical stay?

Each patient is different and each will receive an individualized plan of care. However, the average length of stay for Skilled Nursing care is 2-3 weeks. Some residents may choose a longer convalescent home stay depending on recovery goals, while others move to outpatient care centers for continued therapy.

What activities are available?

We offer daily activities for a wide variety of interests. For your convenience, there is an activity calendar posted in your room. Please contact the Activities Director for additional information. Our nursing homes activities are designed to support social, physical, and cognitive wellness. We regularly update activities in nursing homes programming to reflect resident feedback and seasonal events.

What is your dining program like?

At Copper Ridge, we’re proud to offer restaurant-style dining with diets designed by our full-time, in-house Registered Dietician. Our dining hall tailors menus to clinical needs and personal preferences, supporting recovery whether you’re in a short-term rehab track, a convalescent home stay, or preparing for care at outpatient care centers.

Do I need to bring in my medications?

No, you do not need to provide medications unless specifically told to do so. Upon admission, we will order your medications using our off-site pharmacy then securely store them on-site to ensure safety.

What type of clothing items should I bring?

We encourage you to bring a pair of comfortable shoes and at least seven days worth of comfortable clothing including pajamas and undergarments. This guidance helps streamline the nursing home admission process for a comfortable transition.

Can I bring personal belongings?

Yes! We encourage you to bring personal items such as family photos, blankets, and decorative items. Anything that will help make your stay more comfortable. Personalizing your space enhances participation in activities in nursing homes and contributes to well-being during a convalescent home stay.

How do you protect patients, staff, and visitors from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases?

Our team is highly trained and experienced in caring for high-acuity patients and infectious diseases like COVID-19. Our dedicated infection prevention nurse helps ensure we follow current infection prevention guidelines and best practices. This includes educating all staff about the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves, and gowns and when to use COVID-19 protocols required by local department of public health and/or the CDC. These nursing home infection control measures are central to care at Copper Ridge Care Center and are reflected in our visitation policy and activities programming.
